An infrared sauna blanket is a portable and compact device that offers the benefits of an infrared sauna in a more comfortable and affordable way.

It looks like a sleeping bag made of heat- and water-resistant materials in which infrared heating elements are embedded.

The user lies down and wraps themselves in the blanket, which emits infrared heat to create a sauna-like experience.

The potential benefits of an infrared sauna blanket include relaxation, stress relief, improved circulation, muscle relaxation, pain relief and detoxification.

It's never been easier to sauna thanks to the Koanna infrared blanket.

(i) Lay out the blanket on a suitable surface, like your bed, sofa or yoga mat.

(ii) Plug in the power. Set your session time on the handheld controller (up to 60 minutes), set your temperature (levels 1 to 6), then jump inside for 60 minutes of bliss.

(iii) Afterwards jump into a cooling shower, and clean down the blanket which takes 2 minutes or less. It packs away small into a handy storage/travel bag.

The Koanna Infrared Sauna Blanket generates deep-penetrating heat through far infrared rays, resulting in a cleansing sweat from within. Unlike traditional saunas, it warms the body internally instead of heating the air, allowing for a more intense and enjoyable experience at a lower temperature.

The Koanna Blanket generates far infrared heating rays at the optimal wavelength range of 8-14um, commonly used in infrared saunas. It falls within the infrared C range, although exact categorization may vary.

The Koanna Infrared Sauna Blanket generates far infrared heat, which is a type of invisible light that gently warms your body from within — you won’t see any red lights. This is different from red light therapy (like our Luma1000™ and Luma300™), which uses visible red and near-infrared light to target the skin and cells for rejuvenation.

Far infrared rays (FIR) emitted by infrared sauna blankets can penetrate up to 4 cm beneath the surface of the skin.

This deep penetration allows FIR to reach muscles, joints, and even tissues below the skin's surface, supporting circulation, relaxation, and detoxification benefits.

Our Infrared Sauna Blanket is literally for every body. Whether you deal with discomfort, workout frequently (and intensely), or just need a moment to relax. Only 30 minutes a few times a week can help you ease your body and mind from the inside out.

The Koanna Sauna Blanket offers the same heating technology and health benefits as a regular infrared sauna cabin. However, its comfortable lying position and cocoon design provide enhanced relaxation and close proximity to the infrared rays.

Many customers ask us if a sauna blanket is as effective as a traditional sauna. The best way to find out more is to take a look at our customer reviews. Here's just a brief excerpt.

"I was skeptical and couldn't imagine that the Koanna sauna blanket would be as good as a 'real' sauna. I was pleasantly surprised by the effects. After each session, I'm drenched in sweat and, most importantly, relaxed! The Koanna blanket was a wonderful discovery that is worth its money. I don't regret my purchase. Thank you!" - Zakia E.

Unlike a regular heated blanket that only warms the surface of your skin, the Koanna Infrared Sauna Blanket emits far infrared waves that penetrate deep into your muscles and tissues. This type of heat gently raises your core temperature, promoting detoxification, improved circulation, muscle recovery, stress relief, and relaxation— benefits similar to those of a traditional infrared sauna.

It’s a powerful, full-body heat therapy experience in a convenient home format — not just warmth, but true infrared wellness.

The Koanna infrared blanket is made from the highest quality polyurethane leather and ROHS Certified non-toxic materials. The blanket is built in layers, has a luxury feel and is completely waterproof.

Option 1: Cleaning the Koanna Sauna Blanket is easy. It's fully waterproof, so you can wipe off sweat with a towel and use a gentle cleaning fluid. It takes just 2 minutes or less.

Option 2: The Sauna Blanket Insert is a time-saving accessory. Made of soft terry cotton, it absorbs sweat, allowing for a luxurious experience. Simply slip it inside the blanket and enjoy.

Use the Koanna blanket as often as needed, with some customers using it three times per week and others using it daily.

It's great for relaxation and deep sleep when used before bed, but also energizing when used earlier in the day.

Professional athletes use it for post-training recovery. Even short sessions provide benefits, so find what works best for you.

For the most comfortable and hygienic experience, we strongly recommend using the Koanna Sauna Insert, designed specifically for the sauna blanket. Made from a soft terry cotton–bamboo blend, it gently absorbs sweat while keeping the inside of your blanket clean. The insert feels luxuriously soft against the skin — simply slip inside naked and enjoy a full-body, spa-like session at home.

If you don’t have the insert, you can also wear light, breathable cotton clothing such as long sleeves and leggings. This helps absorb sweat, protects the interior of the blanket, and provides a comfortable barrier between your skin and the blanket’s surface.

The Koanna sauna blanket is very cost-effective with only 600 watts. At a typical US electricity price of about 17 cents per kilowatt hour, one hour of use costs roughly 10 cents.

Five sessions per week cost around 50 cents. So the Koanna sauna blanket is not only good for your health, but also easy on your wallet.

The Koanna Sauna Blanket features EMF Blocking Technology, providing an all natural experience with ultra-low average EMF levels of 0.1 to 0.9 milligauss.

It is not recommended to use the blanket when pregnant. If you have a blood pressure condition, it is advisable to consult with your medical practitioner before using the blanket.

The sauna blanket folds very compact and is light weight at only 8 kg. It takes up very little space in your home and is easy to store away after using.

The blanket comes in a handy travel bag which makes its perfect for travelling with.
